It's been a while since my last newsletter, and I want to take this opportunity to share with you why there's been a hiatus, along with some exciting news!
Over the past few months, I've been on a journey of my own self-discovery and growth. I often write about the importance of this, yet it had been a while since I took time away to really focus on myself entirely. I was, of course, continuing to learn and grow, journal, and study; however, I needed to prioritise myself and my goals above all else. This meant removing all distractions, negative influences, and anyone who wasn't truly supportive of my journey.
Recognising Supportive Influences and Setting Boundaries:
Identifying who genuinely supports you and who may only appear supportive is a crucial task in our lives. This discernment becomes especially important when we're feeling uncertain or experiencing the intuitive nudges I often discuss, which can sometimes be mistaken for self-doubt or overthinking.
Unfortunately, it is a reality that some individuals may use manipulation to divert your attention for their own purposes. While they may initially reach out with seemingly kind intentions, they can turn hostile if you don't meet their expectations or demands. It's essential to recognise these patterns, detach from those who engage in such behavior, and most importantly, not take their actions personally. Although facing the disappointment or disbelief that someone may not have been truthful with their intentions, or even a friendship or relationship, may be painful, in the long run, rest assured you'll be better off.
Just as important to acknowledge is that not everyone who is not available or as enthusiastic as you'd like is unsupportive or against you. Some individuals simply have different priorities or may not fully understand your enthusiasm for a particular endeavor. Additionally, others may be dealing with their own challenges and priorities that you may not be aware of, so it's important to be mindful and considerate of their situations.
And then, you may be pleasantly surprised by those who not only stand by your side but also wholeheartedly support and encourage you without expecting anything in return. Surround yourself with these people—the supportive influences who genuinely want to see you thrive and be happy
Remember, your journey is of your own choosing, and it's okay to put yourself first to ensure the roads you take are the ones that lead you to where you want to be. Trust in your instincts, stay true to your vision, and never underestimate the power of prioritising your well-being.
My Result From Time Away:
As a result of my journey, I am super pleased to announce that, by removing distractions and people who were playing a part in them, I was able to focus on my passions and set goals without any influence from others.
In doing so, I am pleased to announce the release of my debut book, "Unbound"!
This project has been a long time in the making, and I couldn't have done it without taking time away and the support of those who truly believe in me.
"Unbound" is more than just a book; it's a testament to the power of prioritising yourself and staying true to your dreams. It's about breaking free from limitations, embracing your true potential, and living a life aligned with your authentic self—a life as YOU choose.
I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you all, give you some insights, and offer you a preview of the book before its official release date of March 1st, 2024.
